About Me

I cast myself back to my childhood and my Father had a Agfa Isolette II, I can remember my interest and curiosity, I wanted to know how to take pictures and what the different numbers were on the dials, I also remember his father my grandfather who also taught me a great deal, him too a keen traveller and photographer, I remember the evenings when he held his slide shows for the family, and later on also film shows.

As a child, I was given a Kodak instant camera and took random shots of anything! As I grew older I had a Kodak Star 110 a rather slim flat camera, this was my first go at sending film away for processing, it seemed like an age before the envelope came through the letterbox and I’d actually forgotten what I’d taken pictures of!

Fast forward to the mid-90s and here started my journey with Canon, The EOS 500 of which I can remember getting into transparency or slide film of the likes of Fuji Velvia, I took a rest from photography here as children took up most of my time and spare cash and I sold the camera for lack of use.

Then came the digital age and re-ignited my passion, I purchased a Canon EOS 400D in 2007 a 10.1-megapixel learning curve wow, I couldn’t put it down, so many pictures with little difficulty the future was here!

I had that camera for the next 12 years and it served me well! I have now moved on to my current Camera the very capable Canon Mirrorless EOS R6, a veritable game changer and powerhouse for the money.

My photography has a new lease of life yet again and I just want to share my journey with you.

I’m so excited to bring you this website and my vision of the world through my lens.
